In Dubai, it is possible to get STD (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) tests in both public and private facilities. You will asked to provide your Emirates ID when taking a test.
Most STDs and STIs show symptoms that range from rashes, pain and genital discharge to rapid and unhealthy weight loss. These symptoms vary with the type of infection or disease. In many common cases, STDs like HIV are asymptomatic in their early stages – meaning they show no internal or external symptoms initially.
You can get tested the next day, but please know that it can take days or weeks after exposure for the bacteria or virus to be in your body at a level noticeable by testing. You should get retested in case you initially got tested too soon.
